This year's DISCON is a little bit different from the previous ones. Other than conference and fellowship events, we invite Rotarians to participate in humanitarian projects that we have initiated since the beginning of my year as District Governor 3420. It can be said that DISCON 2023 focuses more on incrasing project participation which is packaged in a fun way.

It is an honor to be trusted to carry out the mandate as DISCON 2023 Chair. Therefore, as optimally as possible, we will present a series of DISCON activities that have a positive impact on District 3420. We chose Lombok not without a reason. Beside being one of the best tourist destinations in Indonesia, the location of Lombok island is in the middle of Eastern Indonesia, so it will be easier to access for Rotarians from various islands and provinces. In addition, on Lombok island there are a number of projects that will be visited in the DISCON 2023 activity later.

Introducing Lombok more deeply to the Rotarians of District 3420 is a very extraordinary thing. Because Lombok still needs a lot of attention from various parties to be able to rise up in the pandemic situation that is slowly starting to subside. I as the President of RC Mataram Lombok through DISCON 2023 hope that all of us, Rotarians, can work together, participate in making a successful event and most importantly contribute to projects that will be carried out including stunting prevention, economic development in the community, empowering girls, and several other projects in Eastern Indonesia.
